LSB updates Approved Regulators on diversity and social mobility

The LSB has written to Approved Regulators outlining the progress that has been made with our work programme on increasing diversity and social mobility in the legal workforce. The letter provides an update on recent research activity, including the publication of the LSB’s literature review on barriers to the profession. It highlights our work on developing a framework for achieving transparency about the diversity make-up of the workforce at firm or chambers level.

Attached to the letter is a draft paper on the potential diversity impact of Alternative Business Structures, which the LSB will be discussing with approved regulators, representative bodies and relevant interest groups over the coming months.
