What are RSS Feeds?

RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication'. RSS Feeds allow you to keep up-to-date with the latest news and developments from a website without having to visit the site. By signing up to receive these feeds you get these updates direct to your desktop.

How do I start using feeds?

Some web browsers, including Internet Explorer 8, Firefox, Opera and Safari are able to pick up RSS feeds for you without the need to download a separate news reader application. To subscribe to feeds this way you need to Click on the orange RSS feed button News and publications and a new page will appear showing the news feed with links to all the latest news and updates. At the top of the page you need to select the Subscribe to this feed option. Once you have selected this, a new window will appear where you can name the feed or use the name given and select Subscribe. You have now successfully subscribed to the feeds.

Alternatively if your web browser is unable to pick up RSS feeds using the method above you will need to install an RSS Reader. Here are links to some popular readers that you can use to access the Legal Services Board feed:

Once you have installed one of the above readers, you can subscribe to our RSS feeds in several ways including the following:

  • Drag the orange RSS button into your news reader
  • Drag the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader
  • Cut and paste the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader
