LSB welcomes OFT will-writing initiative

LSB Chief Executive Chris Kenny has today written to the Office for Fair Trading (OFT) to welcome moves to improve the will-writing market for customers and their beneficiaries. The statement of support comes in the wake of the agreement reached with the big four banks to review their practices for selling professional executor services. Along with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) the OFT is a partner of the LSB in generating research into the regulation of will-writing. Findings from the research will feed into our wider investigation into whether the regulatory approach to will-writing needs to be changed to protect consumers.
