Amendment to proposals for Licensing Authority applications

01 June 2011

The LSB has noted that the Rules for Licensing Authority Designation Applications contain an incorrect reference in relation to appellate bodies. Paragraph 52 of the Rules refers to Part 1 of Schedule 10 of the Legal Services Act 2007 (the Act); this should refer to Part 5 of the Act.

As this is simply an amendment to correct a drafting error, the LSB does not consider this to be a material change which requires consultation. The Board intends to make these rules on 13 June 2011, but any comments on the proposals can made to the LSB by the close of business on Tuesday 7 June 2011.

The relevant proposals have been reproduced.
