Professor John Flood provides the LSB with a report on global lessons for education and training reform

Professor John Flood has produced a new report for the Legal Services Board (LSB) which provides a commentary on the implications of what is an increasingly global market for legal education. The report compares the legal education frameworks in major international markets and considers emerging trends. It focuses particularly on the challenges for legal educators that emerge from changing technology, globalisation of legal services and changes in government regulation.

The study was commissioned as part of the LSB’s work to support the review currently underway on changing needs for legal education. This review is jointly led by three of the approved regulators, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), the Bar Standards Board (BSB) and ILEX Professional Services (IPS). More information on this area can be found on the page detailing our work on developing a changing workforce for a changing market.
