LSB welcomes QASA agreement

23 March 2012

The LSB today welcomes news from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), Bar Standards Board (BSB) and ILEX Professional Standards (IPS) that there is agreement on a joint scheme to assure the quality of criminal advocacy.

LSB Chief Executive Chris Kenny said:

“We welcome the statement from SRA, BSB and ILEX PS on the QASA scheme. This represents a real milestone on the path from development to implementation. We now expect the regulators to build on this momentum to secure timely delivery of the remaining work. We will ensure that the LSB plays its own part in the process appropriately to help them do this.”
