Small businesses, innovation and legal services

Using evidence to bridge the legal needs gap

At this event, the LSB together with the Small Business Federation (FSB), Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) will highlight two new research reports:

  • The small business legal needs research looks at why the legal services market does not seem to be meeting the legal needs of small businesses.
  • The innovation research looks at the levels of innovation in the legal sector and the role of regulation in enabling or preventing that  innovation.

The results of both these pieces of research will be presented by the authors (ie the researchers) and will be followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A session.

The research should be of particular interest to:

  • small businesses and small business representative groups
  • legal services providers and their regulators
  • consumer organisations
  • policy makers

Location: Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) Conference Centre London.

The event is free to attend and all are welcome - advance registration is required on http://bit.ly/1PCeVvJ
